 ABOUT DISCUSSION BOARDS

The purpose of Welcome to Harlem’s discussion boards is to engage in informative discussions with registered members on similar issues and concerns face tby hem in their day-to-day lives.

  • Respect – Each and every registered member is a person, who deserve respect and vice versa.   This includes referring to different races, sex, nations, personal choices and other website in slang or derogatory manners or insulting to others.  Respect others and they will respect you, although inevitably, they may not agree with you all the time.  E-mailing and Private Messaging people to attack them personally off board is also unacceptable behavior and when reported.  May be grounds for temporary suspension or permanent banning from the discussion boards.
  • Use appropriate language.  Messages containing inflammatory remarks, personal insults and/or obscenities will be removed.
  • Do not write using all capital letters.
  • URLs to helpful applicable websites are welcomed, but please include the proper name and a brief description.
  • Feel free to offer helpful appropriate resources when replying to a message.  Please note: messages which are blatant promotions, advertisements or solicitations will be deleted.
