The SouSou! Saturdays program is inspired by the cooperative economic practice is known throughout the African Diaspora by such names as “Colecta”, “Box Hand”, “San”, “Partna”, or “Sou-Sou”. We’ve borrowed from, and transformed this long-standing practice of collective trust, and contribution into a “cultural SouSou” for the community.
Families with kids ages 4-12, come and enjoy community, and learning, while making art, dance, music, and much more! . This season, we are delighted to be joined by Callaloo Kids, CCCADI’S newest artists-in-residence! Their entertaining style of puppet theater highlights a unique brand of cultural literacy and social awareness.
Cost: $5 for adults; $3.00 for seniors and students (with ID); Free for CCADI Landmark members and children under 6 yrs old.
