21st Annual Ice Show: “Black Ice” presented by Figure Skating In Harlem

March 25, 2018 – 12:30pm – 4:30pm

If you enjoyed the Olympics on TV recently, perhaps you’ll enjoy even more seeing firsthand the joy on our girls’ faces as they perform and learn the value of teamwork and leadership, the building blocks to being a skilled and graceful ice skater.
Come join the FSH Young Professionals’ Board as we host a brunch before the annual student ice show by the girls of Figure Skating in Harlem.
This is an opportunity to get to know about FSH and watch the girls exhibit their skills.
This year’s ice show theme is called Black Ice: A Retrospective of Black Movement Through Time. From tribal dance to Jazz to hip hop, our girls explore the physical and metaphorical history of black movement using music and skating to tell a powerful story. Our oldest students even used their technology and STEM skills to code some of their own costumes with LED lights. It will be a sparkling show!
12:30pm – Brunch @ Fumo Harlem Restaurant (Nearest subway is the 137th Stop of the #1 train). (Please note that beverages are out-of-pocket costs on-site.)
2:15pm – Head to the Ice Show at Riverbank State Park (679 Riverside Drive at 145th Street). Running time is one hour and ten minutes; Dress warmly
We look forward to seeing you! We hope you’ll join us to see how girls empower themselves. If you can’t make it we ask that you consider making a donation by visiting the following link: https://figureskatinginharlem.org/donate/
