3/19/2016 at 3:00 PM – Neighborhood Concert: Soh Daiko – The beat of taiko drumming has resounded throughout Japanese culture for centuries, but New York–based drumming collective Soh Daiko takes that sound into the 21st century. The group’s repertoire includes traditional Japanese Shinto music and taiko compositions, as well as original arrangements by its members. With a variety of visual elements, dynamic choreography, and impressive athleticism, Soh Daiko’s high-energy performances are exhilarating.
