Alex HardingAlex Harding is a powerful and innovative saxophonist, with a unique and contemporary baritone sound. The sincerity of his musical expression and the dynamism of his performance reach out and touch the human spirit and soul.  A review in the Jazz Times stated that Alex ” … attacked the music with steamroller momentum and uncommon ferocity … it was sheer fireworks.” Alex has a member of Julius Hemphill’s Saxophone Sextet and Hamiet Bluiett’s Baritone Group. He has performed with the Mingus Big Band, Muhal Richard Abrams, Craig Harris, Lester Bowie, Frank Lacey, Oliver Lake and David Murray’s Big Band.  Alex Harding has recorded several CDs for the CIMP label and since 2008 has performed on Broadway and toured with the Tony Award winning show FELA!
