Carnegie Hall presents a Neighborhood Concert: Falu’s Bollywood Orchestra

March 24, 2017
| 7:30pm – 9:00pm

Falu and her orchestra take inspiration from North Indian classical music and contemporary pop and jazz as they explore popular Bollywood songs from the 1960s. Bollywood, a tongue-in-cheek term describing the vast Bombay-based film industry, is known for its infectious music and exciting production numbers. Backed by a Western orchestra of strings, bass, guitar, and percussion, as well as the Indian tabla and harmonium, Falu’s Indian vocals bring the spirit of Bollywood to New York.
