HARLEM SENIORS MILKED IN REAL ESTATE PONZI SCHEME

(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 27, 2011 ) New York, NY 10037 — In what could be considered the Nation’s most vicious Real Estate Ponzi Scheme, Seniors, along with Disenfranchised Harlem Residents, are left in the cold after being milked for hundreds of Thousands in Fees for Luxury Apartments that were already occupied. Aaron Fraser, a potential Congressional Candidate for Harlem’s 15th Congressional District in Harlem, says, “I am concerned that Seniors, the Financially strapped, and the Disenfranchised Residents of Harlem, are becoming victims of unscrupulous Business People, Property developers, and outright crooks, who want nothing more than to rob Harlemites of Harlem.”

Gonofee.com, in partnership with K&R Realty, blatantly advertised and accepted exorbitant fees for Apartments that were not only occupied at the point of accepting the fees, but for Apartments and services that they claimed were fee free. They were mainly targeting defenseless seniors, some paying in excess of $5000 Dollars from their life savings, to get into Luxury Apartments for a fraction of the cost. Most gave notices that they would be moving out of their present domiciles. They were told by a representative of K&R Realty, Mark Williams, that the government had placed a freeze on accepting applications and that no refunds would be given. In reality, no such program existed. They were also told that they would only pay a third of the market rent for the rentals, in compliance with a Government program that put Low income people into luxury apartment buildings; also lies. A compliant has been lodged at the 32nd precinct, complaint# 10004

When K & R Realty was contacted, and informed of the scheme, we were assured by one of its representatives that an internal investigation would be conducted and that someone would contact this office with its findings; that was on July 14th. To date, we have not heard from K& R, or Gonofee.com, and have no choice but to conclude the company was in fact aware of the Scheme and either did nothing or was complicit in it.

A demonstration will be held at The Adam Clayton Powell State Office building in Harlem on Friday, September 30th at 10:00 a.m. to bring this issue to the Public’s attention. We will be asking Local, State, and national elected officials to put some kind of legislation in place to ensure Realtors, and Property Managers, are not Soliciting and Charging potential Renters and buyers for properties and apartments that are known to be occupied. In addition, we are asking the authorities to look into possible fraud charges being pressed against Mark Williams, Gonofee.com and K&R Realty. Last but not least, we are asking that the money that was taken be returned, and each victim placed in one of the Luxury Apartment complexes that they were promised to reside in. If you or someone you know have been a victim of such a scam, please contact the Fraser4Congress Headquarters or visit us at our Temporary website listed below.
