African Art, Women, History: Luba People of Central Africa – Women in art of the Luba people, focusing on Lukassa or Memory Boards designed to record tribal/familial histories; and the importance of women in Luba society.

Location: African Burial Ground National Monument

All activities will take place at African Burial Ground National Monument. The visitor center is located on the first floor of 290 Broadway in Lower Manhattan, two blocks north of City Hall.

African Burial Ground National Monument visitor center’s entrance is mid-block on Broadway between Duane and Reade Streets. All events and activities are free and open to the public, however space is limited. Schedule is subject to change.
