John Clark Quintet – Harlem Afternoon Jazz Series

John ClarkHorn player, arranger, and composer John Clark has performed all over the world with a wide diversity of musicians in a variety of musical arenas: jazz, pop, Broadway, classical, and studio work. He established his jazz credentials with a series of recordings with his own band—the most recent being I Will on the Postcards label, nominated for Record of the Year by the National Association of Independent Record Dealers. Clark’s work has been performed and/or recorded by the Gil Evans Orchestra, McCoy Tyner Big Band, Paul Winter Consort, Genghis Barbie, and the Pugh-Taylor Project, among others. A Conn-Selmer artist, Clark conducts workshops and master classes and has published Exercises for Jazz French Horn. He is on the board of directors of the nonprofit Manhattan New Music Project, which sponsors educational programs in New York City public schools.
