Martha Redbone Roots Project
April 1, 2017 at 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Martha Redbone’s award-winning blend of Native American soul, Appalachian folk, and Piedmont blues has positioned her to become “Americana’s next superstar” (The Village Voice). She is a versatile artist who is equally at home in rhythm and blues as she is in conjuring memories of her Cherokee and Choctaw roots. In addition to an active performing career, Ms. Redbone holds an annual traditional music workshop for young people from the United Houma Nation.
