Sincerely, Ralph Ellison

We invite you to join us for Sincerely, Ralph Ellison, an evening highlighting the literary and interior life of Ralph Ellison, novelist, scholar, critic, best known for the seminal work Invisible Man. The evening will be hosted at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in collaboration with Random House and the Ellison Trust.
The program will feature authors and historians reading letters from the new collection: The Selected Letters of Ralph Ellison edited by John F. Callahan and Marc C. Conner. The readings will be followed by a conversation. Participants include John F. Callahan, literary executor for Ralph Ellison; Pulitzer Prize–winning cultural critic and author, Margo JeffersonRobert G. O’Meally, the Zora Neale Hurston Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University and founder and director of Columbia’s Center for Jazz Studies; Adam Bradley, literary critic and professor of English at the University of Colorado, Boulder; and other invited guests!
The Selected Letters of Ralph Ellison will be available for sale in the Schomburg Shop.
