SoHarmoniums Women’s Choir In Between: Sounds & Spaces
May 15, 2018 |8:00pm – 10:00pm
The SoHarmoniums Women’s Choir presents In Between: Sounds and Spaces, a celebration of the liminal experiences in our lives. The program begins with inventive contemporary American composers Michael Torke, Joan Szymko, and Francisco Núñez, and continues with American folk traditions and a tango! So named for its rehearsal home in the SoHo area of New York City, the SoHamoniums is a diverse community of singers aged 20 to 75. The ensemble, under its Founding Artistic Director, Elizabeth Núñez and accompanied by pianist Taisiya Pushkar, performs an eclectic repertoire of international works ranging from classical and folk to contemporary music.
