That Doctors’ Dad can Blow! A Wellness Conversation with Dr. Karinn Glover and Hugh Glover

Join us for an intimate conversation with musician Hugh Glover and his daughter, Dr. Karinn Glover, clinical psychiatrist as they discuss interaction of meditation and music.
Mr. Glover will share insights into how to incorporate wellness strategies as a musician and Dr. Glover will share how she incorporated these lessons to support her medical practice.
Hugh Glover – After attending Goddard College and the Mannes College of Music, Glover became music director for the Black Arts Theatre in Harlem. His recordings include BABI Music and New Music America. Currently on various music orchestras (Lehman College Jazz Orchestra, LC Latin Jazz Orchestra and Lehman Classical Music Orchestra).
Dr. Karinn Glover, is a board certified physician who specializes in mental wellness and teaches stress reducing mindfulness skills that increase professional and personal success. Born in the Bronx and raised in White Plains, New York, Dr. Glover has spent the greater part of her adult life following her interests in science, health and improving life for women and the underserved. Dr. Glover has also contributed to various media outlets on a range of topics related to mental wellness. She uses mindfulness-based techniques in both her psychiatry practice as well as her career coaching for professional women. She is the immediate past Vice President of the Black Psychiatrists of Greater New York and Associates.
