The Harlem Aesthetic hosts a Couture and Doll Show.
The Harlem Aesthetic (THA) is a collective venture by artists, Laura R. Gadson and Donna “Shimoda” Emanuel which focuses on promoting and preserving artists and artisans of the African diaspora within the cultural landscape of Harlem and beyond. Through hosting boutique salons several times a year, Laura and Shimoda lend their hands in driving a vehicle which connects creators to collectors and consumers. In this way, THA helps strengthen their community and helps to preserve the living legacy of the Harlem Renaissance and the Black Arts Movement. “Our flavor is steeped in the soulfully richness of Black culture and we serve all who wish to partake!”
Cost: FREE Admission to The Gadson Gallery. The artists and artisan’s uniquely, hand-crafted items/products are available for purchase.
