Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am

June 28 – July 4, 2019 2:00pm, 4:30pm, 7:00pm, 9:30pm
Directed by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders | 2019
Acclaimed filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders offers an artful and intimate meditation on the extraordinary life and career of legendary storyteller Toni Morrison. Morrison—who describes her initial inspiration to write as a direct result of no one taking a “little black girl” seriously—reflects expansively on her lifelong deconstruction of the master narrative, leading an assembly of her peers, critics, and colleagues on an exploration of race, history, America, and the human condition through the prism of her own literature.
