Victor LaValle presents An American Werewolf in London

May 28, 2019 7:00pm
Directed by John Landis | 1981
With David Naughton, Jenny Agutter, Joe Belcher, Griffin Dunne
This monthly series brings a prominent artistic or cultural figure to BAM to discuss the film that inspired their passion for cinema, followed by a screening of the film.
Director John Landis’ (Animal House, The Blues Brothers) cult classic follows two friends, David (David Naughton) and Jack (a never-better Griffin Dunne), on a walking tour of England when a wolf attack changes the lives of both men. What follows is a funny, grotesque, genre-bending werewolf film, featuring Oscar-winning makeup effects and a killer soundtrack.
Inspired by the Screen Epiphanies series at London’s BFI Southbank
Before the film, Victor LaValle will discuss how An American Werewolf in London inspired his love of cinema.
General Admission: $16
