Word. Sound. Movement Workshop

In the beginning there was the drum. For this dynamic workshop, we invite young and old to join us on a learning tour of the proto-rhythms and movement of hip-hop. Brown Rice Family’s Okai and BAM teaching artist Jashua Sa-Ra lead participants through a hands-on demonstration of African rhythms that helped shape the wild style, from drumming to dance and everything in between.
