Kool and the Gang, one of the longest-running R&B groups in history, isn’t just a multiple Grammy Award-winning group. They helped shape funk and soul as we know it, and have inspired denizens of admirers and other talented artists since their inception in 1969. The group has no intention of slowing down anytime soon, either: Fifty-plus years later, they’ll still put on one of most raucous and memorable shows possible. This show is presented by Queens Borough President Melinda Katz.
