Master sculptor, Augusta Savage is getting the attention she deserves with a new traveling exhibition of her artwork making its way around the country. Join Tammi Lawson, Curator of the Art & Artifacts Division, alongside other Schomburg Center librarians and archivists as they display selected items from our coveted collections of Augusta Savage archives, including works of art, and other ephemera. Get up close and personal with the selected items and enjoy an audience Q&A with the collection’s curators. Afterward, take a tour of the Schomburg’s new exhibition A Ballad for Harlem featuring two sculptures by Augusta Savage–Gamin and Lift Every Voice and Sing (The Harp).
