Pop-Up Magazine is a live magazine—a night of new, true stories about the fascinating world around us—with photography, film, radio, and original music all mixed together and performed live onstage by a big cast of talented people.
Past contributors include bestselling authors (Michael Pollan, Alice Walker, Susan Orlean), award-winning filmmakers (Ava DuVernay, Alex Gibney, Barry Jenkins), prominent radio and podcast producers (Ira Glass, Jad Abumrad, Kelly McEvers), renowned photographers (Larry Sultan, Alec Soth, Katy Grannan), musicians and actors (Beck, Kumail Nanjiani, Sasheer Zamata), as well as a wide, eclectic group of emerging media makers.
